Can you be a foreign exchange student in college?

Hey, I’m 16 and a sophomore in high school. I’ve decided that I really want to be an exchange student in Costa Rica after being there for a week on an educational tour with EF. We were there studing culture and language and I thought it was just amazing. On their site I see you can be an exchange student for high school but couldn’t find anything on college. I would love to be a high school exchange student but in the next two years I don’t see my family being able to raise enought until college. So my questiong obviously: Can you be an exchange student in college? Particularly in Costa Rica.
Absolutely, it is called studying abroad. The college you go to will give you loads of information on this subject.
