I’m searching for Italian indie/alternative music?

I am going to Italy in a few months for a foreign exchange program, and I’d like to find some good music. I need Italian lyrics to help me learn the language, but I’d really like something similar to our own alternative/indie rock; The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, System of A Down, Kill Hannah, Muse, Panic! At The Disco, Rise Against, Plain White T’s…anything even remotely similar to those would be helpful.
Let me introduce you in the italian rock music. First of all you cannot understand it if you don’t have the masterpieces “Affinità -Divergenze” by CCCP, maybe the best alternative-rock band ever in Italy, and “Arbeit Macht Frei” by Area, the most important band in the 70s Italian Music.
What I can suggest you is to listen to these album before listen any other italian rock album.
In this moment I think that Afterhours is the most important alternative-rock band in Italy, with the album “Hai Paura Del Buio?”, a very good job and “Non E’ Per Sempre”. I can also suggest you “La Voce Del Padrone” by Franco Battiato, a masterpiece of pop-rock with the typicall italian music style. Lacuna Coil, Linea 77, Verdena, Subsonica also made good works. With these albums you’ll have a quite complete vision of what is and what has been italian rock music. Ciao!
